Watford Junction to Warner Bros. Studio Tour: shuttle, parking and where to eat

If you are visiting Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter by public transport, you will almost certainly pass through Watford Junction. It is the station for the Studio Tour and the start and end point of the official shuttle bus.

Getting to Watford Junction

Watford Junction is served by fast trains from London Euston, as well as the London Overground and trains from the north. Check National Rail for current times from your station.

The Studio Tour shuttle bus

• Where from: the shuttle leaves from Watford Junction station. Follow the signs for the Studio Tour bus.
• Journey time: around 15 minutes.
• How often: buses run regularly throughout the day, from before the first tour until after the last visitors leave.
• What you need: show your Studio Tour booking confirmation when you board.

Shuttle times, frequency and ticket rules are set by the Studio Tour and can change. Always check the official Studio Tour website before you travel.

Driving and parking

If you drive, the Studio Tour has its own visitor parking at Leavesden. Some visitors prefer to park in Watford, take the shuttle, and eat in town afterwards. If you do:

• Watford Junction station car park is a 3 minute walk from Nana’s.
• Free street parking is available on St Albans Road from 6:30pm.
• Church Road and Park Road are also free from 6:30pm.

Where to eat by Watford Junction

The area around the station is mostly takeaways and chains. Nana’s Restaurant & Lounge is an independent Lebanese restaurant, 3 minutes’ walk from the station at 129 St Albans Road, rated #1 of 265 restaurants in Watford on Tripadvisor.

It works at either end of your day:

• Before an afternoon tour: we open at 12pm. A plate of mezze or a hot wrap is quick enough to fit in before the shuttle.
• After your tour: take the shuttle back, walk round the corner, and sit down to grills and mezze. Big tables and birthday groups are welcome; call ahead.

Nana’s is BYOB and open Monday to Saturday, 12pm to 10pm. The shisha lounge is open until midnight. We are closed on Sundays.

A simple day plan

1. Train to Watford Junction.
2. Shuttle bus to the Studio Tour (around 15 minutes).
3. Three to four hours at the tour.
4. Shuttle back to Watford Junction.
5. A 3 minute walk to dinner at Nana’s.
6. Train home.
